Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck

Of Mice and Man is a book writen by John Steinbeck. The book is about an unusual friendship between two men. These two men were different in many ways. George Milton is small, but he was an intelligent man. Lennie Small is the opposite of George in many ways. For example, he is a large person and he has limited mental abilites. At the beginning of the book, George and Lennie were working in California in a town called Weed, but they ran away because Lennie was accused of raping a young girl when he was just trying to tend her soft dress. After they ran away from Weed, they started to work on a ranch farm. The ranch owner's son Curley did not like Lennie from the first time he saw him, because Curley wants to be big like Lennie and he is jealous of Lennie. At the end of the book, Lennie will be killed, but who do you think will kill him?

I recommend this book to any person who is interested in reading books. When you read this book, you're not going to be wasting your time because there are so many things you can learn from it. For example, you can learn that there is more to friendship than just talking and doing nice things for each other. Sometimes you have to do what is good for you and not just what is good for your friends. The book might be small, but "don't judge a book by its cover."

The book is available at the Ingraham High School library and at the Seattle Public Library.
